David "Zeus" Henderson has been has been writing and recording twisted pop songs since grade school. Songs about clairvoyant octopi, songs about psychotic ice cream men, songs about insane spaghetti, and more recently, songs about the offbeat world of the pizza delivery boy. He's probably best known as the co-frontman and bassist of Orange Hat , but he's also played with dozens of other popular Atlanta bands and artists, including Wild West Picture Show, Paul Melançon, Shawn Mullins, Gerard McHugh. His newest songs combine the melodicism and classic structure of 60s pop, the energy and odd flourishes of early 80s new wave, the lush production of 70s rock, and narrative lyrics in the style of Squeeze and the Kinks. Songwriting influences include Lennon/McCartney, Brian Wilson, James Dickey, and Woody Allen.

Zeus, with the help of his Wild West Picture Show cohort Mike Gamble, is currently hard at work recording the album Pizzaland, a collection of true stories from his absurd tenure as a pizza delivery driver. Real life stories of pathos and glee, cheap tippers, crazy street people, disintegrating automobiles, rodent infestations, alcoholic poets, flirty divorced mothers, creative uses of bungee cords, Jim Croce look alikes, mysterious scalp growths, and so much more! Musically, it's somewhere between Fountains of Wayne and Squeeze with the usual Beatley influence. Weezer meets Wings.

Henderson, long the subserviant bass-man, was overjoyed when his friends and musical overlords from a half dozen Atlanta bands past and present agreed to be in his band Pizzaland.
